What Affects the Cost of Laser Cut Metal Signs?
The cost of custom laser cut metal signage components depends on:
- Material (type, thickness and finish)
- Design complexity (number of cuts, detail size, engraving if required)
- Sheet size and nesting efficiency
- Quantity
Using in-stock materials from our group supply network means we can often offer more efficient pricing than sourcing new sheets externally.
Get in touch with your design or DXF file and we’ll quote based on the most efficient cutting layout for your project.

Optional Bending & Welding for Signage Projects
For sign trays, folded fascias or brackets, we offer in-house fabrication support to complement our laser cutting. Our press brake can fold sheets up to 3 metres long, producing clean, accurate bends for trays, returns, flanges and architectural features.
Where stronger assemblies are required, we also provide MIG and TIG welding for mounting tabs, frames and custom fixings. All fabricated components are supplied clean and ready for finishing by your signage or fabrication team.
Keeping bending and welding in-house gives us tighter control over accuracy, lead times and overall build quality — ensuring your laser cut signage components arrive ready to fit and built to last.

Frequently Asked Questions
What file types do you accept for laser cut signage?
We normally work from DXF files supplied at 1:1 scale. If you only have a PDF, AI, EPS or other artwork format, we can often help prepare it for cutting. Please include any notes on fixing holes, folds or special requirements when sending your file.
Can you cut metal signs with fixing holes or mounting slots?
Yes — we can cut fixing holes, slots, cut-outs and folded-ready profiles as part of the design. This is commonly used for tray signs, stand-off lettering, logo panels and architectural signage components.
Do you supply finished signs or just cut components?
At MS Laser Services, we mainly supply precision-cut signage components ready for finishing and installation. For fully finished signage or engraved plaques, please visit our sister company Metal Sheets Ltd.
What metals can you use for laser cut signage?
We regularly cut brass, copper, stainless steel, aluminium, zinc, Corten steel, mild steel, galvanised steel and Zintec-coated steel. Material choice depends on the design, finish and intended application.
Can you cut brass, copper or stainless steel signs?
Yes — these are among our most popular materials for laser cut metal signs, letters and logos. We supply components in a range of finishes including natural, brushed, mirror-polished and selected patinated options, depending on the material.
Do you offer white-label supply for trade clients?
Yes — we regularly work as a white-label subcontract partner for sign makers, branding studios, fabricators and resellers across the UK. Components can be supplied clean, accurately cut and ready for your finishing process.
Can you help prepare artwork for sign cutting?
Yes — if your artwork is not yet ready for laser cutting, we can often help convert or tidy files for production. For best results, simple vector artwork with clear cut paths and correct scale is preferred.
