Terms & Conditions – MS Laser Services Ltd
These Terms and Conditions set out the basis on which MS Laser Services Ltd (“we”, “our”, “us”) supplies laser cutting and related sheet metal services to our customers. By placing an order with us, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully before submitting an enquiry or purchase. They explain our responsibilities to you, and your responsibilities as a customer.
Quotations & Prices
All quotations are provided in writing and are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated. Prices are based on current metal costs and may be subject to change if material costs fluctuate. Prices are quoted exclusive of VAT and delivery.
Orders & Payment
Orders are only confirmed once we receive written acceptance and, where required, payment or deposit. Non-account customers must pay by bank transfer or debit card before work begins. Amex is not accepted. Work will not commence until cleared funds are received.
Materials & Tolerances
Laser Cutting
We cut sheet metals using our CNC fibre laser. Standard laser cutting tolerance is typically ±0.1 mm to ±0.2 mm on most thin-gauge materials (0.5 mm – 3.0 mm). Edge squareness and cut quality depend on material type and thickness, but our process delivers clean, precise cuts suitable for signage, components, and decorative panels.
If tighter tolerances are required for critical applications, these must be specified at quotation stage and may affect price and lead time.
Guillotine Cutting
We also offer guillotine cutting for straight cuts on sheet metals. Standard guillotine tolerance is typically ±1 mm up to 1 m, ±2 mm up to 2 m, and ±3 mm up to 3 m lengths. If tighter tolerances are required, this must be agreed at quotation stage and may require additional processing.
Delivery & Lead Times
We aim to complete most projects within 3–7 working days of order confirmation. Delivery is via courier or collection from our Liverpool facility. Offshore and Highlands deliveries may take longer. While we make every effort to meet deadlines, we cannot accept liability for consequential losses caused by late delivery.
Cancellations
Cancellations must be notified in writing. If materials have been purchased or work started, cancellation charges may apply to cover costs incurred. Where possible, carriage charges will be refunded if goods have not been dispatched.
Inspection & Damaged Goods
Deliveries must be inspected on receipt and signed for accordingly. Any shortage, damage or incorrect shipment must be reported within three working days. Damaged goods and packaging should be retained for inspection. Our liability is limited to replacement or refund of the affected items.
Liability
All services are provided in good faith. We do not accept responsibility for fitness of products for any specific application unless confirmed in writing. In no case shall MS Laser Services Ltd be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services.
Intellectual Property
Design files and drawings supplied by customers remain their responsibility. By submitting artwork, you confirm you have the right to use it. We are not liable for any claims arising from infringement of third-party rights.
Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
